About Boomi
Although small (pop. 70) Boomi has a vibrant and energetic community. Boomi has a pub, community hall, school, tennis club with five all weather courts and a pool and hot spa complex it is the perfect place to stay for a stop-over or an extended holiday, with a warm & welcoming community and some very interesting people to meet. The history and historical sites are also fascinating.
Who Are We & What Do We Do?
Boomi is a district reliant on primary production …... sheep, cattle, dryland farming and irrigation, are it’s backbone. Our community boasts many energetic groups, who together with the generous support and help of our local people, provide a wide variety of essential and fun organisations!
Activities & Interests.
There are five all weather
courts adjacent to the Artesian Pools. We always have one net set up to openly encourage anyone to have a hit anytime!! Racquets and balls are available .
• There are two nature reserves located just east of Boomi . Both reserves protect substantial remnants of the Carbeen Open Forest ecological community, which is listed as endangered in NSW. Access to the reserves is limited to walking. Cars may be parked alongside the locked entrance gates. Camping and dogs are not permitted.
